Office of Diversity and Inclusion

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) at OMH coordinates activities related to maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment. ODI works to reduce disparities in access, quality, and treatment outcomes through guidance and support.

ODI drives policy change at the agency to ensure better experiences for New York’s most-vulnerable citizens and marginalized population groups, including:

  • people of color
  • members of the LBGTQ community
  • older adults
  • rural New Yorkers
  • veterans
  • immigrants
  • people with disabilities

Questions related to OMH’s diversity and inclusion efforts should be directed to OMH’s Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Matthew Canuteson.
