The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking a qualified State employee to fill the position of Clerk 2, Grade 9 assigned to Administrative Support Services Group, Capital Operations. Capital Operations is conveniently located on the grounds of the Capital District Psychiatric Center at 75 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY. Covered parking is available on site for a nominal fee.

SG - 9 / $33,306 - $40,936
Negotiating Unit - CSEA

QUALIFICATIONS:

Please Note: You must be a current employee of New York State to be eligible to apply for appointment to this position.

Candidate must have permanent status as a Clerk 2, Grade 9 and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title within two salary grades of the grade 9 level. DUTIES:

The incumbent of this position will perform clerical processing and records maintenance activities for the Capital Operations Unit. Duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Daily data entry into the Project Management System (PMS) updating various capital projects.
  • Run/print various reports utilizing CAMS, PMS and Crystal Reports.
  • Maintain and update project files.
  • Responsible for office equipment such as photocopiers and perform simple maintenance tasks such as adding toner, paper and ordering copy paper.
  • Use Word, Excel and Adobe Professional.
  • Assist in answering phone calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
