This brochure is being used by OMH to provide all members of its workforce with a brief overview of HIPAA and to answer some basic questions. Its distribution is intended to increase awareness of HIPAA, in preparation for OMH providing its workforce with training, as required by HIPAA, prior to the Privacy Rule's April 14, 2003 implementation date. Both English and Spanish language versions of the brochure are available.
