PSYCKES Emergency Room Pilot
Psychiatric Services and Clinical Knowledge Enhancement System (PSYCKES) was piloted in 2011 in Emergency Room (ER) and Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) settings, for use in clinical decision-making. The goals of the ER Pilot Project were:
- to establish best practices for integrating PSYCKES use into ER work flow
- to determine what adaptations (if any) were required for the PSYCKES application
- to evaluate the impact of PSYCKES access in this new setting
Participating hospital received training and technical assistance. They provided feedback on the PSYCKES application and the implementation process, through regular teleconferences and site visits.
