Social Work students participating in the project must complete a one year internship at an approved field site that will provide hands on opportunities to learn evidence-based practices (EBPs) for adults diagnosed with serious mental illnesses. All field sites have agreements with one or more participating universities to provide field placements for MSW students. Field sites are OMH licensed providers or other community –based organizations that provide opportunities to practice the following EBPs: ACT, Wellness Self- Management, Family Psycho-education, Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment, or Supported Employment.

On this page is a list of currently approved field sites available in each of the five regions of New York State: Long Island, New York City, Hudson River, Central New York, and Western New York. Other resources that may be of interest to providers and mental health professionals may be posted on this page as they become available.

Comments or questions about the information on this page can be directed to the Social Work EBP Project.
