Enhanced Scattered Site Supportive Housing for Young Adults with Serious Mental Illness

The Office of Mental Health (OMH) announces this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development and operation of four - 25 bed Enhanced Young Adult Scattered Site Supportive Housing programs. Two awards will be made in New York City, one in Kings county and one in Queens county. One award will be made in the Hudson River region and one award will be made in the Western region. The Western region program may be sited in either Monroe or Erie counties. The Hudson River program may be sited in either Albany/Rensselaer/Schenectady counties or Sullivan/Orange counties.

The Enhanced Young Adult Supportive Housing program is intended to help young adults with a diagnosis of a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) transition from institutional settings, foster care, and homelessness; improve access to behavioral health and community resources; pursue vocational/educational goals; and develop real-world skills that will support them on the path forward as independent adults.
