Webcasts and Webinars


A webcast is essentially "broadcasting" over the Internet (like television) and may be distributed live or on demand. Links for webcasts will only be available on this page while the live event is occurring. Windows Media Player Leaving OMH site is required to watch the webcasts.


A webinar is a form of web conferencing used to conduct live meetings, presentations, or trainings via the internet. Attendees are required to complete a registration form. Webinar registration will generally be available for a month in advance and close a half hour prior to the event. Once registered the attendee will receive e-mail notification with an individualized link to the event as well as the toll free phone number and access code for the audio. Authorized under section 5.06 of New York State Mental Hygiene Law, the BHSAC considers matters relating to the improvement of behavioral health services in the State and advises the Office of Mental Health and Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Commissioners on any such matters.
