Now Available: Adult Behavioral Health Home and Community Based Services Rest of State Provider Designation List

The list of agencies designated to provide Adult Behavioral Health Home and Community Based Services (BH HCBS) outside of New York City (rest of state) is now available. The linked page contains a list with the names of providers designated to provide BH HCBS, along with which service(s) they have been designated to provide. Each provider listed has gone through the BH HCBS application process for designation established by New York State. All applicants should expect to receive a letter regarding their designation status by January 15, 2016.


Governor Cuomo Proclaims May 5th-12th as Children's Mental Health Awareness Week in New York State *

In New York State, more than 300,000 children live with a serious mental health condition. Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week was created to raise awareness about the importance of children’s mental health and to show that positive mental health is essential to a child’s healthy development from birth. Integrated Services

Effective January 1, 2015, New York State authorizes the licensure category “Integrated Outpatient Services” for OMH-licensed providers (14 NYCRR Part 598), OASAS-licensed providers (14 NYCRR Part 825), and DOH-licensed providers (10 NYCRR Part 404). The new regulations further the integration of physical and behavioral health services in clinic settings under a single license.

The 7th annual collaboration between American Psychiatric Nurses Association-New York Chapter and NYS Office of Mental Health Chief Nursing Officers Organization focuses on Innovative Mental Health Care: Nurses, Consumers and State Leaders Working Together to Lead Mental Health Reform. State leaders will discuss healthcare reform and collaborative care, provide an in depth discussion on Value Based Payment (VBP); continuing with nurses on the power of personal resilience, innovative strategies to work with individuals living with a personality disorder and consumers on strategies that are helping them to move from trauma and survival to success.
